Warmth and Beauty
What a gorgeous space. This home in Fulham, London is the work of Daniel Lee. I do like the creative use of materials and this interior demonstrates this very well: The pale wood used in the kitchen combined with metal fittings and dark grey worktop. The white Gubi Semi pendants which add a sculptural dimension. The wall panelling and to die for wooden stools around the white Saarinen table. Wooden shutters are a stylish, practical option if you can have them and adding four hinged shutters to each window gives a unique perspective to the term window treatment. Glass in the form of the large window at the end of the kitchen and the doors at the entrance to the study add light and beauty. Lastly, that large black fabric pendant looks so striking in an otherwise neutrally coloured space. This creative mix of materials, with the odd vintage piece thrown in, gives a real warmth to this beautiful family home.
